Practice Prairie State Achievement Examination (PSAE)

The Practice PSAE is an optional assessment for grade 11 students.   It is designed to build the familiarity of students and schools with the format and content of the PSAE administered under similar conditions as required by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).   It is a full-length, two-day Practice PSAE that includes all components of the actual PSAE administered by ACT and ISBE: Day 1 ACT and all Day 2 tests (WorkKeys Applied Mathematics, WorkKeys Reading for Information, and ISBE developed Science).  

Test Dates

Track E and Track R Schools, September 6 – October 5, 2011

Materials Delivery

All CPS high schools with grade 11 students enrolled will automatically be sent materials the week of September 6, 2011.   

Additional Materials

All schools have received a 10% overage of materials. If more test booklets or answer documents are needed they can be ordered online at https://itgcenter.cps.k12.il.us .  Administration manuals can be copied at the school level or downloaded from this website (link under “Resources” below).   If you are not familiar with this process you can find directions on the Department of Student Assessment website at http://research.cps.k12.il.us/cps/accountweb/Assessment .

Schools may retain test booklets after testing. Schools that opt not to administer can retain or destroy materials.

Return and Scoring of Answer Documents

Answer documents must be hand delivered by school personnel to the CPS Test Intake Center.  Materials may be returned any day within the testing window but MUST be returned no later 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011.  The CPS Test intake Center is located at 3532 W. 47 th Place, 2 nd Floor.  

Availability of Results

Results will be available on the secure Principal Login site (http://research.cps.k12.il.us/cps/accountweb/).
